5 Of The Best Manufacturing Innovations Of The Past Decade

Best Manufacturing Innovations

Over the last decade, there has been a burst in the number of manufacturing innovations that have come to fruition. In this article, we’ll focus on five of the manufacturing innovations that could be considered the best of the best.

1) Google Assistant

With Google’s assistant, Google moved artificial intelligence into a completely new realm. This manufacturing innovation has transformed how we look at a device’s ability to help us reach our goals without ever picking up our phone or other Google device.

With Google Assistant you are able to write messages and emails, you can create a calendar reminder, or you can ask the assistant to find an answer for your pressing question on the internet.

The Google Assistant will occasionally even infuse a little humor into the answer. Currently, the Google Assistant is considered by most to be better than Siri or Alexa in understanding what you want.

2) Venmo

While maybe not seen as the most “traditional” form of manufacturing, Venmo is an extremely helpful app. Even though Venmo seems like a pretty simple concept, it makes transferring money to your friends or acquaintances exceptionally easy.

It also serves as a social platform, since your friends or followers can see who you have a transaction with. This allows for a lot of fun messages or emojis to be used as you send money to your peers!

On top of sending money, the app also allows you to split bills. This makes it so simple for you and your roommate to split rent every month or for a group of friends to cover an expensive meal together.

Additionally, you are able to request money directly from people if they owe you money (no more of them continually “forgetting” to pay you back!) If you do not have Venmo at this point, it’s worth checking out.

3) iPad

When it was first introduced in 2010, this device was mocked by many due to its somewhat awkward size. The first tablet of its kind, the iPad was manufactured to be larger than an iPhone, but smaller than a laptop.

Despite initial skepticism though, the iPad has now sold over 400 million units. Multiple competitors of Apple have also begun to manufacture tablets. All in all, the iPad can be considered a manufacturing success.

4) Hi- Tek’s Hot Gas Path Components

As the aerospace industry has continued to grow over the last decade, Hi-Tek’s manufacturing innovations have allowed the aerospace industry to be transformed. Hi-Tek has provided multiple manufacturing solutions for gas turbine manufacturers.

Without this crucial component, the aerospace industry would not be at the point it is at today. Seeing how air travel has become imperative to most people’s lives, the part that Hi-Tek’s manufacturing has played in this is vital.

5) Self-Driving Cars

These manufacturing feats are still a work in the making, but so far self-driving cars are being beta tested in cities like Pittsburgh and Phoenix. If all cars on the road were self-driving, current estimates are saying that there could be 90 percent fewer deaths from car crashes.

If those estimates are correct, and the self-driving cars can be proven to be bug-free, then the roads could be a whole lot safer soon.
